Arsenal are actively working towards resizing and revamping their squad in the current trabfser window and most especially the summer window.

Reports are already making waves on possible transfer incomings, with the likes or Norwich’s Emi Buendia a key target as Arteta looks to add some guile and creativity in his midfield.

Borrusia Dortmund sensation, Julian Brandt is another possibility according to rumours circulating while player sales have also made the rounds.

According to The Independent, via AFC Media, Arsenal are keen on offloading up to nine(9) first team players as they seek to make space for incoming transfers, and also lessen the burdens on the wage bill.

Mesut Ozil is the headline departure unsurprisingly, with the player said to be closing in on a move to Turkey.

It however remains to be seen how the window and the subsequent one turns out. All eyes will definitely be on the transfer window now.

AC Milan Willing To Sign Tomori On Permanent Basis

Published

AC Milan have been pleased with Fikayo Tomori’s impact but admit their option to purchase the centre-back from Chelsea is ‘very high’.

The 23-year-old struggled to secure a regular role under Frank Lampard this season and was allowed to leave the club in the January transfer window.

AC Milan signed Tomori on loan for the remainder of the season and have the option to buy him this summer for €30 million (£26m).

Tomori has been in fine form for AC Milan

‘The boy has proved to be strong, he integrated well,’ AC Milan’s sporting director Frederic Massara told DAZN. ‘We are convinced of his qualities, there is a very high option to buy and we will evaluate whether to go on but we are very satisfied with his impact so far and we are happy to have him with us.’

Tomori’s current contract with Chelsea expires in June 2024. Fikayo Tomori has made seven appearances for AC Milan so far.

Speaking last week, AC Milan’s technical director, Paolo Maldini, also stressed that Tomori’s clause is ‘very high’.

‘Tomori is a good talent and we have a buy-option clause,’ Maldini told Sky Italia.

‘The price is very high. AC Milan will decide at the end of this season and we will discuss it with Chelsea’s board.’ Tomori has made seven appearances in all competitions since joining AC Milan earlier this year.

Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate as Mikel Arteta plots a big rebuild of his squad in the summer transfer window.

There was a flurry of activity in January for the Gunners with Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis all having their contracts terminated while William Saliba and Sead Kolasinac went out on loan.

According to the Evening Standard, the north London club are considering bringing in another centre-back and Konate is a player who has caught their eye.

Arsenal are said to be one of a number of clubs tracking the 21-year-old, who is regarded as one of the Bundesliga’s top prospects alongside fellow Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.

Arteta revealed on Wednesday that the club are planning an ‘unprecedented’ summer window due to the number of transfers that are required to get his squad into shape.

The Gunners are currently down in 10th place and eight points off the top four after losing 11 of their 26 Premier League games this season, and the Spaniard admitted that their transfer plans are dependent on where they finish in the table.

‘We are planning what’s going to happen in the summer,’ said Arteta. ‘It will depend on where we finish, how we finish. ‘I think what we have to do in the summer is unprecedented for a club of this stature.

‘To do the amount of transactions that we have to make it tells you as well where we are. ‘I think it was very much needed and you want to improve, you want to do that. ‘It’s where you have things in the house and you believe that you can improve on it.

‘Externally acquiring players to go to the next level. Everything is planned and let’s see what the market can bring and what the last few months can bring to the club.’

Mikel Arteta reveals Arsenal are preparing for ‘unprecedented’ summer transfer window

Mikel Arteta is expecting Arsenal to be busy in the summer transfer window and says their business will be ‘unprecedented for a club of this stature’.

Arteta suggested there will be a lot of incomings and outgoings as he seeks to take Arsenal to the ‘next level’.

It’s been a disappointing first season in charge for the former Manchester City assistant manager.

Arsenal are currently 10th in the Premier League and eight points off the top four and their only realistic hope of silverware is the Europa League.

Despite their poor season, Arteta’s position is not thought to be under threat and he is already planning for the next transfer window.

And he admitted there will be a lot of transactions they ‘have to make’ in order to get back to the required level.

‘We will see. We are planning what’s going to happen in the summer,’ said Arteta.
