Chelsea striker Timo Werner has been linked with a premature exit from Stamford Bridge as his struggles in front of goal continue.
The German hasn’t exactly set the Premier League alight since his £47.5m arrival from RB Leipzig last summer. The 25-year-old joined from the Bundesliga outfit as part of the Blues’ summer spending spree, but it has been suggested he could be off well before the end of his contract.
In 27 league appearances to date, the forward has disappointingly only managed to find the back of the net on five occasions. While he has proven himself a capable provider, contributing eight assists, his goal return is far from what you’d expect from a player of his calibre.
