‘You never know’ – Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta drops hint over future PSG move

Mikel Arteta has opened the door to a future move to Paris Saint-Germain but insists he has ‘a lot of work to do’ at Arsenal.

The Spaniard took over from Unai Emery at the Emirates in December 2019 and went on to win the FA Cup in his first ever season as a manager.

Arsenal’s league form, however, has been patchy under the 38-year-old and his side are currently in ninth place in the table after losing 11 of their 29 Premier League games so far this season.

As a player, Arteta spent a season on loan at PSG from Barcelona, and refused to rule out the possibility of managing the Ligue 1 champions one day.

‘I love Paris, I love Paris,’ Arteta told BeIN Sports FR.

‘I have very good memories from over there. It was my first club as a professional. The club is always in my heart. ‘You never know but I have a lot of work to do [here at Arsenal].’

‘PSG have an incredible team,’ Arteta added. ‘The manager Mauricio Pochettino is a coach that I am close to because I played with him at PSG.

‘He is a very very strong manager and I hope that he will win a lot of titles with PSG.’
