The England duo are both injury doubts ahead of Saturday’s Premier League encounter against Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta says there are no major injury concerns for Arsenal ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match against Liverpool.
The first team return to London Colney today after the international break, with the bulk of the Gunners squad available for the match at Emirates Stadium.
Bukayo Saka was ruled out of England’s matches against over the break and has been training on his own at London Colney during the interim.
“There’s still a lot [of players] that we haven’t seen yet,” said Arteta in his press conference ahead of the Liverpool game.
“We will see them this afternoon, assess the squad tomorrow and make some decisions.
“He [Saka] hasn’t trained with the team yet. He’s been doing some individual work. We had to pull him out of the [England] squad. He’s feeling better but hasn’t trained with the team yet.”
The 20-year-old has contributed four assists this term since breaking into the first team this season.
“He has some discomfort in his hip,” said Arteta.
“That’s why they decided to keep him out. We will see today, he will speak with the doctors and with the physios and see if he’s okay for training tomorrow.”
