Arsenal striker deletes all his Instagram posts amid exit speculation

Published

Folarin Balogun has deleted or hidden all of his Instagram posts, amid a current absence from action and speculation around his future.

Over the weekend, Arsenal fans spotted that Folarin Balogun had deleted or hidden all of his Instagram posts, as well as removing his profile picture. At the time of writing, his account is just a blank page with his name at the top.

Balogun is currently out of action, neither featuring for the first team nor for the last couple of games with the u23s. He hasn’t been in any recent training photos either.

Balogun in Action For The Gunners

Initially, there were claims on social media that the striker was injured. But these haven’t been confirmed by any official sources, so we can’t really speculate either way.

It’s very possible his on-pitch absence is unrelated to whatever has caused him to delete or hide his posts.

Balogun’s Arsenal contract expires in the summer, which has led to uncertainty over his future at the club. Negotiations are ongoing, which is why the fans are so jumpy at any hint about how they’re going.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the latest footballing absence and social media break really means anything.

The shade of yellow – ‘pearl citrine’ in adidas parlance – may look a little like custard but the use of the stripped-back cannon badge is a nice touch.

We expect to see similar shots of the home and third kits in due course. The latter is predicted to be blue with a lightning motif inspired by the kits of the mid-nineties.
