Arsenal prepared to listen to offers for Reiss Nelson

Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for Reiss Nelson this summer, after his struggles to break into the first team under Mikel Arteta.

CBS Sports report that Reiss Nelson is among the players whose long-term future will be decided this summer, as he has two years left on his Arsenal contract. The club are open to offers for him, given he still hasn’t broken into Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal reportedly had high hopes for Nelson for a while, but Arteta prefers to use Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pepe, and Willian ahead of him. Arteta has also picked Gabriel Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out wide on the left lately.

Nelson hasn’t featured for the Arsenal first team since his FA Cup appearance in early January, and he hasn’t made a Premier League squad since November. He had the chance to go on loan in the winter window, but it didn’t happen.

Now, multiple outlets are linking Nelson with a move. He’s performing very well with the u23s, proving beyond any doubt that it’s not a fitness problem, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.

If he doesn’t start getting games in the next couple of months, you could hardly blame Nelson for starting to search for his next club
